The present work presents propositions for syntactic decomposition of event structure of derivative formations with -e(ar) and -ej(ar). It also describes eventualities which the formations denote in order to demonstrate that in the accomplishment of derivative words, there are morphosyntactic criteria imposed by roots on the affixes, as well as there are semantic-aspectual criteria imposed by affixes on the roots. We aim at demonstrating that the meaning of derivative formations is constructed in a composing way in the syntax, through interaction between semantic-aspectual traces of affixes and semantic characteristics of roots. The analysis of derivative formations shows that the adjunction of affixes to the roots is only possible if there is compatibility between their characteristics.
