A semiotic look at the figures of communion: the intertext as a narrative mechanism
Keywords:
argumentation and rhetoric figures, intertextuality, Semiotics.Abstract
In this work we continue the discussions we began in our thesis by reviewing the
argumentation and the rhetoric figures from the point of view of Greimas’ Semiotics Theory. We take as first point the typology proposed by Perelman and Olbrechts-Tyteca to classify argumentative and discursive strategies in order to observe not only their meaning effects on discourse but their functions in texts constructions as well. Quotation and others intertextuality forms were the chosen
mechanisms to illustrate the narrative functions of argumentation.
