Abstract

This study analyses 24 narratives collected during an experiment where subjects
were asked to tell a story according to 12 pictures presented to them. Eight subjects told their narratives orally, while the other 16 subjects wrote their stories via internet. Due to the fact that these narratives were recorded while they were produced, they present peculiar structures. These phenomena will be examined in three dimensions: first, references to the main character of the narratives will be studied; then the ordering of events will be investigated; and finally the ego, hic et nunc markings in the stories will be examined.
