Abstract

In this paper we present a brief analysis on the Brazilian participation in A Águia
(1910-1932) magazine mainly through the publication of texts by Lima Barreto and by other Brazilian writers (Ronald de Carvalho and Carlos Maul, for instance), published regularly on the editorial page “Seção Brasileira”. The magazine A Águia was one of the most important literary publications from Portugal at that time. We reflect upon how the magazine and other contemporary Luso-Brazilian publications improved the relationship between Brazil and Portugal on their pages.
