Abstract

This paper presents some aspects of my experience teaching Advanced Portuguese at Georgetown University, Washington, DC in 2008–09. The goal is to contribute to the reflection on the role of the PFL teacher and student, as well as on the methodology and use of teaching materials that take into account not only the profile and interests of students, but also course objectives and the impact of new technologies on the classroom.
