Abstract

The aim of this paper is to check, by conducting a new pilot experiment in acoustic phonetics, whether the inverted subject of small clauses structures presents the phenomenon called tessitura change and if cleft sentences and free small clauses share the same intonational pattern. In addition, we intend to check if the exclamative clauses and free small clauses share the same intonational pattern.
