Dicionarização de expressões racistas: um estudo lexicográfico/fraseológico

Abstract

This work aims to study the dictionaryization of a set of racist expressions cataloged in the work Racist expressions: why avoid them, published by the Superior Electoral Court (TSE) in 2022, from the perspective of Lexicology, Lexicography and Phraseology. The items selected for this research were: macumba chicken; the thing (is) black; kicks that it's macumba; macumba chicken; return to the sea, offering!; macumbeiro and boçal. General and special language dictionaries were consulted to verify the presence or absence of records of selected expressions, and whether such records present the meanings found in the work published by the TSE. In this way, it is possible to verify cultural elements of a community, since dictionaries not only serve as a source of consultation, but also highlight the point of view of a community, as they are not neutral (cf. Krieger, 2006).
