Abstract

In this paper, we draw on the concept of médium, which the French discourse analyst Dominique Maingueneau borrows from Régis Debray's midialogy, to analyze how the republication of certain comic book narratives in more prestigious formats contributes to their recognition as works associated with an author’s name. The mutual consecration of the author(s) and the work occurs as the latter is continually re-presented in editions that detach it from the continuous feuilleton flow, marking it as an autonomous text with unique and original artistic qualities that are highlighted by the material configuration of the publication.
