Keywords:
grotesque, comic, Clarice Lispector.Abstract
This article proposes the analysis of grotesque issues present in the short story “The solution”, by Clarice Lispector (1920-1977). The theoretical basis is given especially by the studies of Wolfgang Kayser and Mikhail Bakhtin. The analysis is complemented with ideas of Vladimir Propp about the comic emphasized in the physical nature of man. In addition to that, the research refers to important critical voices of Clarice Lispector’s criticism, which will illuminate the analysis done here.Downloads
