Abstract

This paper aims to analyse four stories by Ruth Rocha, Teresinha e Gabriela (1976), Romeu e Julieta (1977), Faca sem ponta, galinha sem pé (1983) e O menino que quase virou cachorro (2006) in order to show that these stories, written at different times, have common aspects. They break the order as a possibility to find emancipation and growth.
