Abstract

In this paper, I present a study about the variation between the pronominal forms we and the people in the subject position and their inherent verbal agreement in the dialect spoken in the Northwest region of São Paulo State. For the analysis, I follow the Variation Theory proposed by Labov (1972). The corpus comes from the database Iboruna and is composed of 76 interviews, which are classified according to social factors as education, age and gender.
