Abstract

The aim of this article is to present writing as a possibility of meaning for the aphasic subject. The look at writing is based on the conception of language, whether verbal or non-verbal, as a constitutive activity of the human being. In this way, the aphasic person can use it to (re)constitute himself as a subject, positioning himself socially and historically, mediated by affectivity. Therefore, we present the data analysis of an aphasic subject with right hemiplegia as a result of a stroke. This work is based on discursive neurolinguistics aligned with concepts of Linguistics and Psychoanalysis. Writing, as a language act, is considered to organize the chaotic world of the aphasic subject and as a possibility of re-appropriating its history and identity.
Keywords: writing; meaning; aphasia.
