Abstract

In this paper, we present an analysis of linguistic signals in speech manifestations that are considered as stuttering. We identify and analyze stuttered speech in order to find explanations for their effects. After doing the analysis, we were able to rethink some concepts widely used in the literature on stuttering speech, which allowed us to talk about effects on the language caused by the characteristics of this type of speech. In other words, they affect the language field which consists of
continuous aspects of vowels and discontinuous aspects of consonants. Therefore, we can say that the heterogeneous and unpredictable occurrence of stuttering speech characteristics indicate that we need to review and rethink concepts, and also, it seems that this type of speech occurs because the
speaker cannot control the movements used to produce speech.
