Meanings and Society: an enunciative analysis around the “PLC 122/2006” designation

Inserted in the Historical Semantics of Enunciation perspective (GUIMARÃES, 2002), this paper reflects on the way(s) how the Bill of Chamber number n. 122 of the year 2006, called the PLC 122/2006, has been designated and (re)meant between citizenship and resistance. As the objective of the study, it was selected a group of texts that are for or against the approval of the PLC 122. In this process of meaning production, different enunciative procedures rewrite and re(mean) what has already been said about the mentioned bill. Through the analysis, it was observed how, at each historical language event, designations, from their political and historical operation, claim for other meanings. The analysis also pointed to the signification processes that lead to other gestures and places of interpretation and to different meanings, permeated by memories of the past and of today.
