Abstract

The main purpose of this work is to analyse the “subjects” who are renewable in
their manifestation in four versions of the classic fable The ass in the tiger skin: in the Indian collection Pañcatantra, in the Aesopic tradition, in the work by La Fontaine and Monteiro Lobato. We intend to discuss above all the permanence of the interdiscursive practice of the fable and to show that this practice is clearly marked by the confrontation of different discursive formations and determined by ideological formations which reveal intentions and positions of subjects who are situated far away in time and space, but similar in the manner of characterizing determined socio-historical contexts and providing clues for the comprehension
of the produced meaning.
