Abstract

This study presents a research conducted by interviewing Portuguese language teachers who attended a pos-graduation course on grammar. The aim was to investigate how these teachers, now under students’ condition, evaluate learning strategies used by their teachers during the course. This research is in Applied Linguistics and we used a technique of investigation which can present a heuristic function associated with a method of systematic analysis based on the raised hypothesis; it also apprehends and investigates in students’ discourse, recurring subjects. According to our analysis, we verified activities in groups, which were very appreciated by the participants what corroborates Vigotski ideas about the importance of social interaction as a factor that promotes development and learning.
