The summary at university: dialoguing with school practices
Keywords:
dialogism, academic literacies, analysis of indicationAbstract
The main issue of this article is the discussion about a very usual genre in the academic domain: the summary. Taking into account the dialogic orientation, from Bakhtin (1990, 1992), we analyzed summaries produced by first year students in a Program at an university, trying to find, with a Sherlock Holmes look, indications of dialogues, assuming that every text is an active answer to other discourses, other texts, other genres. In this article, we focus on the dialogue with school practices previously the academic domain, specially with school compositions. To conclude, we can see different dialogues with the base-text, result of different readings and, specially, a response to school demands, result of the historical moment lived by the students.Downloads
