Abstract

This essay on Applied Linguistics is a contribution for the teaching and learning of languages and the formation of teachers within the context of studies on TIC-mediated interactions. This paper analyzes interactions established in an online forum on the module Portuguese Language II in an undergraduate Language and Literature Course. Also, itdiscusses the potential of such a resource for the establishment of a community learning space. The ability of such a community space is discussed for the establishment of closer and more transforming relationships in relation to a mere aggregation by using an electronic means. The forum under analysis indicates the possibility of constructing a collaborative way of learning through the so-called ‘community activity for learning’.’.
